About Chrisjonna Foster
Chrisjonna Foster is a board-certified advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) and a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) who joined FLDSCC in 2010. She is a graduate of Keiser University, where she obtained her Associate of Science degree in Nursing, and Herzing University, where she received her Master of Science degree in Nursing.
Chrisjonna also currently serves as the chief operating officer at FLDSCC, with a focus on expanding clinical operations. Chrisjonna has more than 30 years of experience working in health care, and prior to becoming an APRN and FNP-C, she spent 14 years as a medical assistant and registered nurse in general dermatology and dermatologic surgery. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Idaho State University in 1995 before deciding to pursue a career in health care and dermatology. During her time as an undergraduate, she also received high honors with Phi Alpha Theta Honor Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
At FLDSCC, Chrisjonna’s clinical responsibilities encompass educating patients on comprehensive skin care and diagnosing and treating dermatological issues for patients of all ages. Her expertise includes managing conditions such as precancerous and cancerous lesions, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, rashes, hair and nail problems, wound care, and many other skin-related concerns.
In her free time, Chrisjonna enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren; and exploring Florida’s waterways, especially the natural springs. She is active at church, volunteering as a pianist and organist, as well as a leader in the youth program.
