About Dr. Rebecca Tung
Dr. Rebecca Tung is a board-certified Mohs and dermatologic surgeon and general dermatologist who joined FLDSCC in 2019. Dr. Tung earned her Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago. She completed her internship and dermatology residency and Mohs micrographic surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland.
Dr. Tung has served as a board member on several committees for organizations including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Women’s Dermatologic Society, American College of Mohs Surgery, American Dermatological Association and the American Professors of Dermatology. Dr. Tung has earned numerous awards and honors, including the 2016 Founder’s Award from the Chicago Dermatologic Society and the 2017 Leadership Award from the Department of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago. She also serves as a scientific reviewer for multiple medical journals.
At FLDSCC, Dr. Tung emphasizes the importance of education, research, and collaboration. With a commitment to provide each patient with the best care and overall experience, Dr. Tung is an advocate of prevention and good skin health.
In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, art, gardening, and traveling with her family. Additionally, as a passionate volunteer in her community, Dr. Tung raises awareness about skin cancer and the importance of dermatologic care.
With a high-level commitment to provide each patient with the best care and overall experience, Dr. Tung is an advocate of prevention and good skin health. Too many people do not realize that ANYONE can get skin cancer, regardless of skin tone! She urges people to see a dermatologist if they have a new or changing skin lesion, to undergo regular skin cancer screenings and to learn more about how to protect themselves when enjoying the outdoors!
Dr. Tung is a board-certified Mohs and Dermatologic Surgeon and General Dermatologist at Florida Dermatology and Skin Cancer Centers in Winter Haven, Clermont and Davenport. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, art, gardening, and traveling with her family.
When asked on her approach to patient care and medicine, Dr. Tung said “In all that I do, my goal is to provide outstanding care and optimal results while at the same time helping my patients fully understand their skin conditions, best methods for treatment and ways that they can optimize their skin health. I approach each patient as if he or she was family.”
