Dr. Angelo Ayar graduated from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Michigan Medical School. A Michigan native, he also earned his undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Michigan with honors. Throughout his education, he participated in research studies (including melanoma research) and was published in academic journals, as well as received several academic awards. He is a fellow of the American Board of Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology.
During clinical rotations, Dr. Ayar became fascinated with the different medical populations and types of medicine comprised in dermatology practice, such as infectious diseases, inflammatory conditions, and cancers. Prior to joining Florida Dermatology and Skin Cancer Centers, he was employed by a dermatology practice in Tallahassee, Florida.
Dr. Ayar is multilingual and loves to travel, meet new people, and is an avid sports fan.
